Snehagiri Society is a registered charitable organization initiated on September 19th of 1979 by CMI fathers along with socially committed people. It is registered under Charitable Societies Registration Act with Reg. No. 171/79. The Motto of the Organization is ‘Service to Humanity is Service to God.’ The office is located at Kuruvilassery in Mala Panchayath, Thrissur. Rev. Fr. Paul Kodiyan (Late), a man of vision is the founder director of the Society.
Snehagiri means the ‘Hillock of Love’. The beginning of the organization was a new socio-economic awakening for the people who were homeless, with no basic irrigation facilities in addition to unemployment, financial crisis and many more exigences. The organization stepped into the problems irrespective of the discrimination existed then. It has done many commendable services like Snehagiri Special School, Mithralayam Old Age Home, Snehagiri Housing Scheme, Readymade Garments Manufacturing Units, Tailoring Center, Khadi Weaving Unit and Umbrella Manufacturing Unit for the people upliftment.
